SUMMARY
Lance (Joshua Close) finally scored his first acting
gig in a dinner theatre play. But he only has a few
lines to show off his talent. His anxiety stems not
from acting in front of an audience, but from acting
opposite Karen (Hallie Bird), the girl he secretly
loves. As Lance stares into his dressing room mirror
in preparation, he receives advice from his positive
and negative alter egos. The more experienced side
of him threatens to take over and ruin any chances
with his leading lady if he screws up. He must now
prove he has what it takes to win the hearts of his
audience as well as Karen or risk losing everything
to his alter ego. Starring Joshua Close, Hallie Bird,
Nelson Kyle and Dick Pugh.
2006 / COLOUR / RUNNING TIME 10 MINUTES
I had two large roles on this short film. I was the
First Assistant Director and the Editor. Play On Words
was the best experience I had working on a film at
the Vancouver Film School. I enjoyed the entire crew
and I believe we all worked very well together.
This is only a quick one minute scene from the film.
I will add the full short film after the new year.
